This Stabicraft 1750 Frontier is built for Fiordland conditions. Stable, reliable, and easy to handle, it features an open bow and uncluttered deck space, making it ideal for fishing, diving, hunting, sightseeing, and carrying gear.
Pack your rods, dive gear, rifles, cameras, or lunch. Where you go and how long you stay is entirely up to you.

What You Get

MATAI comes fully equipped and Maritime NZ surveyed with everything you need:

– 115hp Mercury 4-stroke – reliable power with 20-30L daily fuel burn
– 6hp Mariner 4 stroke auxiliary – backup when you need it
– Twin battery setup – can even charge hut battery banks
– Full safety equipment – inflatable lifejackets, flares, first aid kit
– Ready to go – just rock up and she’s waiting at the wharf

Stewart Island Hunting

Heading to the Rakiura hunting blocks? We’ve got you sorted. MATAI comes with lifting strops so you can get her onto charter boats for the crossing.

We hunt Stewart Island ourselves, so we know what you need. We can equip you with fully stocked gang-boxes containing kitchen gear, rechargeable shower, tarps – all the stuff that makes the difference between a comfortable trip and a rough one. Everything’s pre-loaded and ready when you arrive.

Water Taxi Service

Don’t need the whole boat? We can drop you off at remote fishing spots, Wapiti hunting blocks, or DOC cabins from Te Anau or Te Anau Downs. Perfect for accessing those hard-to-reach places where the big fish hide and the hunting’s untouched.
